Periodontal Regeneration

Periodontal Regeneration

Periodontal regeneration is a procedure to treat bone loss & periodontal pockets by regenerating lost bone and soft tissue attachment in the diseased area.

A minimally invasive surgical procedure is utilized to gain access to the deep pockets. These sites are thoroughly cleaned and debrided and an enamel matrix protein is placed in the area and the site is sutured closed. The area is monitored for a six-month period. The procedure is less invasive and usually results in less post-operative pain than traditional periodontal flap surgery.
